Cocoa: Farmgate price set at 1,200 FCFA/kg for the 2026-2027 season, coffee at 1,300 FCFA

Minister of Agriculture Bruno Nabagné Koné announced the farmgate price for cocoa set at 1,200 FCFA/kg for the 2026-2027 season, and coffee at 1,300 FCFA. This price is regarded as the third best in the country's history, despite a collapse in international cocoa prices. Additionally, the possession of a chip card for producers becomes mandatory, enhancing traceability and meeting European Union requirements.
