Yan Diomandé starred in Real Madrid’s 4-1 Champions League win over Leipzig on Wednesday, October 21, after scoring against Sevilla the previous weekend. Appointed permanently in May after winning 12 of 17 games as interim manager, Carrick had guided United back to the Champions League after a two-year absence.
