Yemen government forces claim control of Mount Qarfan in Taiz

Yemen's Saudi-backed government forces announced they have taken control of Mount Qarfan in the Taiz governorate after battles with Houthi rebels. Major General Abdulaziz al-Majidi stated that five Houthi fighters were killed and 20 wounded during the clashes. The seizure of this strategic mountain would allow government forces to exert fire control and surveillance over the surrounding valleys.
