Yemen’s army says recaptured key territory as clashes with Houthis continue

Yemen’s army announced the recapture of al-Khazan and al-Makahna hills in Jabal Habashi district, west of Taiz city, following intense clashes with Houthi rebels. Over 100 fighters from both sides have been killed since the start of the Houthi offensive, which also resulted in civilian casualties, including a ballistic missile attack in al-Makha. The Houthis aim to control the hills overlooking Bab al-Mandeb before launching an attack on the coast.
