Yemen’s Minister of Public Health, Qasim Buhaibeh, warned that some areas in Yemen could face a complete collapse of health services if funding continues to decline. The health sector has been forced to close facilities and faces shortages of medicines, supplies, and fuel, threatening emergency, maternal and child healthcare, vaccination, dialysis, and cancer treatments. Over 19.3 million people require health assistance, but only 17% of the needed funding has been secured, with less than 50% of health facilities operating at full capacity.
