Yobe APC chair apologises after telling women to leave husbands over 2027 vote

The Chairman of the APC in Yobe State, Muhammad Gadaka, apologized after urging women to divorce husbands who oppose their voting for the party in the 2027 elections. During a rally in Nangere, he pledged to marry any woman whose husband divorced her for supporting the party. Following backlash, Gadaka clarified that his comments were misunderstood and rooted in a traditional joke between the Gamawa and Kare-Kare ethnic groups.
