You can come back with your expired passports, NIS tells Nigerians abroad

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) stated that Nigerians abroad can use their expired passports to travel home. This clarification comes as many Nigerians plan to return for the end-of-year festivities. The NIS also noted that passport renewal can be processed once they are back in Nigeria. Additionally, the contactless passport application platform remains operational for those who prefer to renew their passports remotely.
