You prepared reactions before President's speech — Onanuga slams Tinubu’s critics

Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information, responded to politicians criticizing Tinubu's Independence Day speech, accusing them of pre-emptively preparing their reactions. He emphasized that they overlooked Tinubu's statement that reforms did not cause economic weaknesses but addressed them. Tinubu warned against returning to subsidies, describing such calls as a 'siren song,' and announced Nigeria's economy grew by over 4% in 2026, driven by both oil and non-oil sectors.
