Youth Olympic Games: Qatar provides logistical support to Senegal

Qatar has donated buses and security equipment to Senegal to support the organisation of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, the first edition to be held in Africa. Doha also intends to share its experience in organising major sporting events. The tournament will bring together 2,700 athletes aged 17 or younger for 25 competitions in Dakar, Diamniadio and Saly. COJOJ general coordinator Ibrahima Wade said the donation would improve mobility and security and build expertise; the Games run from October 30 to November 13.
