YouTube: Himra calls for monetization of the platform in Côte d'Ivoire

Ivorian rapper Himra has called on YouTube to activate monetization of its platform in Côte d'Ivoire in a Facebook post. He emphasized that local artists generate hundreds of thousands of views and demand the revenue associated with their content. This request follows a similar plea from French rapper Tiakola for the monetization of video clips by Afro-French artists. The issue of monetization in Côte d'Ivoire has been under discussion since June 2024.
