Yuki Kurihara, Japan’s 11-year-old e-sports prodigy, wins Asian Games gold

Yuki Kurihara, an 11-year-old primary school student, won gold in e-sports at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, becoming Japan's youngest athlete in the event's history. He secured the Puyo Puyo Champions final with a 10-2 victory after defeating a 28-year-old Thai player in the semifinals and a 24-year-old South Korean in the final, despite an early deficit. Kurihara, who started playing Puyo Puyo in his first year of primary school and earned his pro license in April, regularly beats adults while balancing school.
