Olam Agri plans to establish a poultry-feed factory in Cameroon with a stated capacity of 300,000 tonnes, with operations expected to begin in early 2028. The Singapore-based group confirmed the project on November 5, 2026, following a Bloomberg interview with Saurabh Mehra, who oversees its food processing and animal feed businesses. Olam has not said whether the capacity is annual, nor disclosed the investment amount, plant location or construction schedule. The project is part of roughly $400 million in additional African investments planned by 2028, including facilities in Cameroon, Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire.
