Zambia: Funeral associations, a refuge against expensive burials

In Zimbabwe, expensive funerals drive families to turn to funeral associations. Melisa Kasu, after her mother's death, used the association's $100 savings to start a small gas-selling business. A group of women founded this association in Kuwadzana, a township in Harare, in 2021.
