Zambia: Nakonde health department targets zero maternal deaths

The Nakonde district health department in Zambia has launched an ambitious campaign to achieve zero maternal deaths. The initiative aims to improve access to prenatal and postnatal care, as well as strengthen midwife training. Mobile teams will be deployed in remote areas to ensure regular follow-up of pregnant women. The goal is to reduce maternal mortality in the region by the end of the year.
