Zamfara APC primary: “My mandate cannot be stolen” — Kaura

Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura says he won the APC primary for Zamfara North Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections. He claims most members of the election committee declared him the winner after the committee chairman was allegedly abducted and a result naming Senator Sahabi Ya’u as the winner was announced. Kaura called that announcement invalid and said the alleged abduction was an attempt to undermine democracy. He urged political stakeholders to respect the result declared by the committee members.
