Zamfara Chief of Staff survives gunmen attack

Moukhtar Lugga, the Chief of Staff to the Zamfara State Government, narrowly escaped an armed attack on Thursday evening along the Funtua–Gusau road. Gunmen opened fire on his vehicle near Kucheri, but neither Lugga nor his driver was injured. The driver managed to steer away from the ambush, although a bullet hole was later found in the vehicle's windscreen.
