Zeinab Badawi tells the story of Africa through an African lens

Sudanese-British journalist Zeinab Badawi aims to restore African voices in the historical narrative of the continent with her book _A African History of Africa_, published in 2024 and sold over 110,000 copies. She traveled to about thirty African countries to meet historians and specialists, highlighting African kingdoms, institutions, and traditions while emphasizing the importance of African historians. The book is now available in French to reach a Francophone audience.
