Zimbabwe expects massive return of its nationals from South Africa

Zimbabwe is preparing for a massive return of its nationals living in South Africa, where xenophobic violence is increasing. The government estimates that up to 1.4 million people could return, nearly 70% of the Zimbabwean community in South Africa. Since the end of May, nearly 100,000 citizens have already been repatriated. Authorities have set up a vast reception and reintegration program including housing, medical care, food aid, and support. Over 70% of returnees are women and children.
