The Zimbabwean government has backed down from its order to completely remove vendors from Harare's Central Business District, allowing them to sell between 6 AM and 6 PM instead. Local Government Minister Daniel Garwe oversaw the demolition of vending stalls, but vendors continue to resist. Permanent Secretary Tafadzwa Muguti announced that vending in residential communities would be permitted until 8 PM.
