Zimbabwean blueberries conquering China

Zimbabwe is aiming to diversify its agricultural exports through blueberry cultivation, supported by the recent opening of the Chinese market. However, producers, such as those at Forrester Estates, face significant financial challenges in developing their crops and infrastructure. In July, Zimbabwe shipped its first blueberry cargo to China after meeting phytosanitary requirements. Access to credit remains difficult, complicating the expansion of cultivation.
