Zulum suspends Mallam-Fatori village ward heads over absence during visit

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has directed the immediate suspension of all village and ward heads in Mallam-Fatori due to their absence during his visit. Zulum expressed concern over this absence, especially as residents displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency are beginning to return. He also instructed the Commissioner for Local Government to work on appointing new village and ward heads who must have proven integrity and commitment.
