Benin: Up to 49% Increase for Some Student Scholarships Starting 2026-2027

University scholarships in Benin will be increased by up to 49% starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, depending on the fields of study. This decision, made during the Council of Ministers on September 2, 2026, aims to enhance the purchasing power of students. Additionally, the government plans to resume university transport and rehabilitate student restaurants and housing across several universities. Scholarships for excellence for studies abroad will also see an increase.
