In Ivory Coast, Washington advances its position in oil, gold, and infrastructure

The U.S. Department of State is encouraging American companies to invest in Ivory Coast, highlighting opportunities in energy, mining, infrastructure, agriculture, and digital sectors. The 2026 report emphasizes the country's economic growth, with a GDP increase of 6.4% over the past decade and 6.5% in 2024. Several American groups, such as Murphy Oil, have already begun operations in the oil sector, including a oil discovery in June 2026 on offshore block CI-709. Washington aims to mobilize its companies to benefit from the 2026-2030 National Development Plan, which allocates around 206 billion dollars in investments, mostly from the private sector.
