Rwanda Eyes Nuclear Tech to Improve Agriculture

The Rwandan government is exploring the use of nuclear and isotopic techniques to enhance agricultural productivity, food safety, and climate resilience, according to Minister of State Armand Zingiro. Rwanda has expressed interest in participating in the Atoms4Food initiative, supported by the IAEA and FAO, to strengthen food security and reduce post-harvest losses. This initiative aims to utilize nuclear technologies to improve agricultural productivity and manage natural resources.
