UK court jails 24-year-old Nigerian migrant 17 years for rape

A UK court sentenced 24-year-old Nigerian migrant Gift Oladele to 17 years in prison for raping a 19-year-old woman in Wrexham, Wales. The attack occurred in September 2025 after Oladele lured the victim to an isolated area. Despite his threats, the victim informed her parents, who contacted the police. Oladele, already on bail for another rape allegation, was arrested the following day.
