1.02m PVCs collected for Ekiti governorship election - INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that 1,028,929 out of 1,059,360 registered voters in Ekiti State have collected their Permanent Voters' Cards (PVCs) ahead of the governorship election scheduled for Saturday. INEC National Commissioner Mohammed Haruna noted that registered voters increased from 987,647 in 2023 to 1,059,360 in 2026, with a PVC collection rate of 97.1%. The collection period was extended to June 14 after a stakeholder meeting in Ado-Ekiti. Additionally, 14,406 applications for replacement of lost or damaged cards were processed.
