Inaugural Dar es Salaam–Kindu flight brings hope for opening up Maniema

On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the inaugural flight of MASCO Airline from Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) to Kindu via Kisangani landed in the capital of Maniema, marking a significant step in opening up this isolated province. A Boeing 737-200 carried various goods, bringing relief to economic operators and the population. The Federation of Congolese Enterprises (FEC) welcomed the initiative, hoping the air bridge will open up the province by air.
