The Department of Basic Education has proposed a set of regulations to ensure that pregnant learners can remain in school and return after childbirth without facing suspension or expulsion. These regulations provide non-judgmental and non-discriminatory support for learners during and after pregnancy, in collaboration with social and health partners.
