2027: Tinubu exporting Nigeria's wealth, importing hardship - Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, accused President Bola Tinubu of implementing an economic policy that exports Nigeria's wealth in raw form while leaving citizens with higher prices and weakened purchasing power. He noted that Nigeria's raw material exports rose by 106% in the first half of 2026, while unsold manufactured goods reached about 2.14 trillion naira. Atiku emphasized that this situation reflects the purchasing power crisis and the struggles of Nigerian families to afford essential goods.
