18 killed as suspected herdsmen attack Benue communities

At least 18 people have been killed in separate attacks on communities in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria, by suspected armed herdsmen. The first attack occurred on Friday in Akpachi, killing two farmers. On Sunday at 4 am, gunmen attacked Otukpo-Nobi, killing 16 people including women and children. Angry youths protested at the Och'Idoma's palace with corpses, blocking roads and demanding government intervention.
