In Nairobi, Planty Kenya recently sold three European olive trees for Sh144,000. The plants, which take years to mature, are highly sought after, and owner Lucy Kioi explains that customers pay for the time they save. Prices vary, with olive trees costing up to Sh150,000 and bonsais priced around Sh39,000.
