In a statement, police spokesperson DSP Olayinka Ayanlade called the claims 'categorically false, misleading, and entirely unsubstantiated,' stressing that no such development has occurred. Coordinated rescue operations are still actively ongoing, and the public is urged to rely only on official updates from the Nigeria Police Force.
