Ruto Announces December Completion Date for Ksh 214M Itembe Airstrip in Bomet

President William Ruto announced that the Ksh 214 million Itembe Airstrip will be operational by December 2026. The project, led by the Kenya Airports Authority, includes runway rehabilitation and security infrastructure improvements. Once completed, the airstrip will enhance connectivity, support medical evacuations, and promote tourism and agriculture in the region. Ruto also mentioned other infrastructure projects, including a Ksh 900 million stadium in the county.
