Hantavirus: scientific mission to Ushuaia next week in search of the source of contamination (health authorities)

An Argentine scientific mission will travel to Ushuaia next week to identify potential rodent carriers of hantavirus, following an outbreak linked to the cruise ship Hondius. Juan Petrina, the Epidemiology Director of Tierra del Fuego province, stated that rodent samples will be collected, with results expected in a month. Local authorities claim that hantavirus has been absent from the province for 30 years.
