Customs operations paralyzed in Kasindi by a strike of declarants

The Kasindi-Lubirigha border post has been paralyzed since April 30 due to a strike by customs declarants protesting the introduction of three new taxes. This situation has led to a price increase, particularly for gasoline, which has risen from 5,500 to between 6,500 and 7,000 Congolese francs. The Congolese Association of Authorized Customs Brokers (ACCAD) states that this struggle aims to protect the purchasing power of the population, already affected by the security context.
