Kenya: Schools to Close for Mid-Term Break June 24-28, Govt Announces

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba announced that schools across the country will close for mid-term break from June 24 to 28 amid growing concerns over student unrest. The ministry has formed a multi-stakeholder team to address the causes, including leadership challenges, learner anxiety, exam stress, poor boarding conditions, alcohol and drug abuse, and strenuous school routines.
