DRC: In response to tensions surrounding Mbororo herders, an identification mission deployed in three provinces

The government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo announced the deployment of a mission in the Haut-Uélé, Bas-Uélé, and Nord-Ubangi provinces to identify Mbororo herders accused of causing unrest. This decision was made during the 97th Council of Ministers meeting led by President Félix Tshisekedi. The mission aims to better understand the situation on the ground and address local populations' concerns regarding the presence of these nomadic herders.
