2027 Polls: Court declines to compel INEC to recognise Turaki-led PDP

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday dismissed a suit seeking to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Senator Adolphus Wabara. The plaintiffs, including Senator Wabara, former Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu, and ex-Minister Jerry Gana, wanted INEC to update its database with the interim National Working Committee led by Tanimu Turaki. Justice Salim Ibrahim delivered the judgment, rejecting all the plaintiffs' requests.
