Jigawa, Kano, Katsina top list of out-of-school children - UNICEF

UNICEF reported that Jigawa, Kano, and Katsina have the highest number of out-of-school children, contributing nearly 30% of Nigeria's 18.3 million out-of-school children. Aisha Abdullahi, an education consultant with UNICEF, emphasized the importance of early childhood education in preventing school dropout. She also noted the low involvement of fathers in early learning, with less than 15% actively participating, which could be improved through community programs.
