Algeria: The 3 forwards who could move ahead of Bounedjah

Baghdad Bounedjah could miss Algeria’s November squad for its Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifiers against Togo on November 14 and 17. Amine Gouiri, Amin Chiakha and Nadir Benbouali are reportedly better positioned than the Al-Shamal striker, despite his five goals and one assist in eight appearances. Dropped since the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Bounedjah has not played for the Fennecs since their quarter-final loss to Nigeria on January 10. He has 86 caps and 35 goals, making him Algeria’s third-highest scorer of all time.
