Akhannouch: Morocco Increasingly Ahead of Schedule in Digital Transition

At the opening of the fourth edition of GITEX Africa 2026, Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch stated that Morocco has made digital transformation a key public policy priority. The country's digital investments increased from MAD 11 million in 2021 to MAD 1.7 billion in 2024, marking a qualitative transformation. Morocco has also attracted major investments in cloud services and research and development centers, creating over 700 jobs.
