Visa denial for Jibril Rajoub, president of the Palestinian Football Federation

Jibril Rajoub, president of the Palestinian Football Federation, was denied visas to the United States and Canada to attend 2026 World Cup events. He called the decision 'ridiculous' and is currently in Mexico, where he attended the opening ceremony. In April, he refused to take a group photo with an Israeli official at the FIFA congress in Vancouver. The Palestinian Federation has also filed an appeal with the CAS against FIFA for not sanctioning Israel over clubs in the occupied West Bank.
