Cocoa Sector Strike: Koné Moussa from Bandiahi Warns Against Political Exploitation

Koné Moussa, president of SYNAP-CI, visited Bandiahi to meet with cocoa farmers on strike since September 16. He warned against political exploitation of the movement, emphasizing that the strike is purely economic, aiming for better pay for producers. He criticized the current pricing system and sales circuits, considering the 1200 FCFA per kilogram price insufficient. The protest has already led to a slowdown in cocoa exports to Abidjan.
