Tatiana Dovgalenko, head of the Department for Africa at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, warned on May 27 about the threat of jihadist organizations re-establishing themselves in Africa. She highlighted that the Islamic State is now active on the continent with around 10,000 fighters spread across five provinces.
