A report by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom reveals that approximately 30,000 armed Fulani militants are currently operating in Nigeria, worsening insecurity and religious freedom violations. These groups, described as some of the deadliest non-state actors, are responsible for violent attacks mainly in the Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria, leading to thousands of deaths and mass displacements. While many attacks target Christian communities, Muslims have also suffered killings and kidnappings.
