NIMC enrolls 206,000 refugees, IDPs, 32,000 inmates

The Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, announced that the commission has enrolled over 206,000 refugees and internally displaced persons, as well as 32,000 inmates into Nigeria's national identity database. The target is to reach 180 million enrollments by December 2026. Coker-Odusote highlighted the evolution of Nigeria's identity sector from a fragmented model to an integrated digital ecosystem.
