Getting to the last mile, by Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi

The annual Gender and Inclusion Summit, convened by the Policy Innovation Center, took place on September 8-9, 2026, with the theme 'From Agenda to Action: Making Innovations Count for the Last Mile'. Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi highlighted that despite existing policies and programs, Nigeria ranks poorly in global gender equality indices, standing at 124th out of 148 countries. She emphasized the ongoing challenges women face, including limited access to financial resources and economic opportunities.
