The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Yobe State Council has demanded the full implementation of the ₦70,000 National Minimum Wage for all primary school teachers, primary healthcare workers, and local government staff. At the May Day rally, NLC Chairman Comrade Muktar Musa Tarbutu emphasized that the current wage disparity is worsening poverty and insecurity in the state. He also presented urgent demands, including the restoration of overhead costs and an upward review of furniture allowances.
