Oyo school abduction exposed major intelligence gap - Makinde

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde stated that the school abduction incident in Orire Local Government Area exposed a significant gap in intelligence gathering and information-sharing. He emphasized the urgent need for stronger collaboration between residents and security agencies, noting that the government alone cannot ensure security without public cooperation. Makinde also inaugurated the Violent Crime Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, the first of its kind in the South-West region.
