Nigeria Customs parades officer over viral Lagos–Benin Road extortion allegation

The Nigeria Customs Service has paraded one of its officers following a viral video showing alleged extortion along the Lagos–Benin Expressway. In the video, a motorist recorded Customs officers demanding a bank transfer of N200,000 for alleged duty shortfalls. In response, the Nigeria Customs Service initiated disciplinary procedures in line with its zero-tolerance policy on misconduct.
